Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

The nosebags to feed em on the go? Or to prevent em from eating while your going?

I don’t know. We stopped for a photo op. and some scenery down the valley. Our guide put the bags on just for the stop.
Things I learned that day.
Horses don’t really enjoy having you on them, and use low branches to change that.
Flinching is a big deal and reminds you how strong they are.
They are much faster heading home.
Irish girls are crush worthy! (our guide, sorry Honey!)
I loved it.

Bet to keep em from eating all that green grass Ireland is famous for and getting stouter. Cause they plenty stout for sure. I can not speak to Ireland, however, having lived in Scotland for 3.5 years I can attest that the Irish girls counterparts to the north east do share the same traits.

Circling a bit back to "hats". It's going to potentially be a year+ wait for my locally made custom hat - I guess supply chain issues have even impacted the fur industry. Well, while I wait, I still wanted a hat so my wife found some hatmaker (in Greece of all places) who makes custom hats out of European Hare fur. The wait time and cost is a fraction of what my local maker is providing me so I figured, "What the hell" and I sent in my measurements and order.

Last week, I got the new lid in and it fit perfectly. It will be a nice hat in the interim while I wait for the other and it will be one I won't be so afraid to get dirty with everyday wear.

I went to go visit my nephew and his mother last night to check in and help her with some handyman chores. You can see the hat in the pic below - (I look pretty haggard but the hat looks nice and my nephew is really cute).

Cool looking hat!

There ya go! All of that flat (what's behind ya too) and all the wooded mountains behind. Looking towards the 58 from the west end of the flats:

Our side of that water tower in your pic. I'd followed that boar for a couple miles and he never knew I was behind him. Sometimes as close as 30-40 yards

Scott Hanson Scott Hanson We're kind of the epicenter of the wind industry here. That cool Tehachapi mountain air wants to rush out to the hotter and lower Mojave Desert just the other side of that ridge.

The Mojave side of that same ridge. Thousands and thousands more windmills. One of the main products we use to make were "wildrags", cowboy scarves. They were all handmade by Nichole. We can no longer get this special silk, called sandwash so we don't make them anymore. A good friend of ours thats like another daughter to us, took this pic of her twin sister wearing one as kind of a product pic for us.

Some years it even rains around here:

The wife and I and our son Logan and his wife Katie. Rained that year. Standing on the shore of Laguna Anos Ocho. Cause there's only water in it every eight years.

Thought the goldfish in the water tank thats surrounded by the Laguna were gonna make a break for it.

This is the dark ridge in the back ground of Mack's pic. Its called Black Mountain locally. Our house is at the base of the mountain. But not on the ranch.

Ya can see all the lush green grass around that water tank this year:

And this year is better than last year. It never even greened up in spring time last year. Least we were green this year.

Your pictures are most welcome. They brought back some feelings I’d forgotten.
The 1st and only time I’ve experienced the expanse of the west, had an emotional effect, I didn’t expect.
And my first wind farm, also had an emotional effect I didn’t expect. I’ll say no more about that.

Poolside at the kids swim lessons this morning. I've been told I look mad all the time, I don't get it. Besides, how can you look mad with a pair of purple glitter sunglasses on your shirt?

Maybe this is just my "I'm a Dad, and prepared to rip your face off if need be" look. Who knows, not a smiler but a big hugger, I'll squeeze ya till ya pop and probably look mad doing it😁

Wow, outdoor pool? I figured there was still snow on the ground! 😁

Personally, with that look right there, I wouldn’t be making any sparkley glasses jokes, just sayin 🤐

I wish, it's been Montana hot, in the 80's today!
The wife often says that “ its kinda handy on occasion to have a cold heartless bastard (me) around.”
Somebody's gotta do it, might as well be us.

Gotta keep 'em on their toes, people are usually shocked when I hold the door for them.

Met a relative's significant other for the first time at lunch once. A happy, smiley, talkative, bubbly kind of guy. Acted like a complete ass to the waitress, rude, smug, and demanding. It took all I had not to...... be me and explain the err in his ways. You can always tell a person by the way they treat the help.
