Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

I’m working in Lafayette, IN today and tomorrow. For lunch, my two coworkers and I decided to try a nearby place called City Barbecue.

Care to guess what I ordered?

Definitely the salad without meat, with light Italian dressing 😁

What a great gal!!
Grinding blades, nails done!!!
Your new Son in Law is a lucky man!!

Hope your brother is ok!!
Best wishes from Alberta…

I was supposed to get a pacemaker on Monday…
But, I got an Antlered Mule Deer draw for the zone our homestead is in…
Opening day Monday…
So, I just thought I’d ask, & they moved the pacemaker day to Nov 22…

That’s very cool history Dave, and great pictures!!

Y’all have a great day!!

Thanks Randy! Yeah he got released yesterday. We were just contemplating heading out to feed the horses yesterday evening and it was my sister in law on the phone. They were on their way back into town, from down the hill and wanted to meet us for sushi. We did. He seems to be doing really well. We were there a couple of hours and the only discomfort he had was standing up to leave and that was his leg from where they went into do the stint. Hope everything works as well for you sir!! Did see a real nice buck here nearby the house couple of days ago. Very symmetrical 3 pointer so not huge in the antler dept but very big bodied. Our deer here locally are a hybrid, kinda a cross between the coastal Blacktails and the mountain Mulies. He was standing in a neighbor's yard as we were coming home from the ranch, just chillin.

Thanks again!

Howdy Dave!
That’s a great bunch of folks enjoying what they’re doin!!

I wish I was gettin a Peacemaker instead…

Thanks for the kind words!!

Hope you have a great weekend sir!

The kids taught him how to 'sit' and 'stay' in about 5 minutes, he took to it well. 'Down' was a little harder but he's got it now. The funny thing is that 'Come' confuses the heck out of him, probably should have taught him that before 'stay'.

He's the most well mannered puppy I've ever seen. Very quiet and polite. If he grabs something he's not supposed to all I have to do is say "Hey we don't do that" and he stops and steps away. He's been a good little addition to the family so far.

Means he is smart. too bad our wives cannot do the same to us husbands about putting things down and stepping away. ;)

Just a quick question, maybe a survey like has been done in the forums before, but what is everyone’s favorite blade length for a fixed blade? I know there are different sizes for different tasks, and I like large blades too, but what size blade do you gravitate towards for most of your needs? ease of carry, accessibility, etc? I see Dave’s knives and he usually makes about 2.5 to 3 inches for the cattle ranch workers. Mine is somewhere between 3.25 to about 4.5 inches, I am not listing lengths because there are too many variables for likes, but what do you grab most and why? Just my two cents to get a conversation going.

Second question, what size pocket knife do you like and do you pair it with a fixed blade? Or a Nesmuck trio?

I like around a 3 inch fixed blade, 4 max. Paired with a small single blade slip joint, wharncliffe preferably.
