Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

Keepin' at it is the first step! Tenacity is something that is disappearing. Lookin' forward to watchin' this space!

Hope she's recovering well! I empathize.
Thanks man. She's recovering well, now the wait to see if the cause was something.....serious.

Being persistent is almost a thing of the past, quitting seems to be an acceptable alternative nowadays.

I'm too dumb and stubborn to stay down, so at least I got that going for me! 😁

Mrs. Redmeadow was laid up in the hospital for a few days last week, she's home now and all is good. Long story short she had a collapsed lung and didn't even know it, talk about a trooper. She's doing good and being waited on hand and foot by me and the kids which involves us constantly yelling at her to get back in bed and that we'll take care of things.

Our doctor is old school, and I mean old school. He pulled my tonsils and delivered both of my kids. When I told him the only problem is keeping Mel down after her surgery he said "Well she's always been like a fart in a frying pan". I'd never heard that one before, had to laugh. Had to look it up too, guess it means bouncing around like popcorn popping, yep that fits her to a T.

Anyways, all is good here and I'm looking forward to getting everyone some damn knives!!!!
Pretty crazy, glad she's doing well. Wish I had a doctor like that. I've been thru 5-6 in the last 20 years...like a damn revolving door. Meeting the next one for the first time next week.

About to be unemployed in about 24 hours. I had to convince myself I'm not retiring, just turning the page to a new chapter. That chapter being Redmeadow. At 50 I'm not ready for sitting around birdwatching just yet.

Congrats John, I'm not that far behind you, well about 2 1/2 years for retirement or a maybe partial retirement, I don't want to do knife making full time, just part time. But I'm looking forward to to what direction your journey takes you, maybe someday get out to Montana and see you.

Thanks Scott, instead of full time I'll be "my time". That could be 20 hours a week or 90! Reminds me of the saying " You can work 8 hrs a day 5 days a week for someone else or 24 hours a day 7 days a week for yourself" lol.

We'll link up sometime, we'll be doing some road trips and may get out your way.

I hear you, 20 hours a week sounds good but sometimes you get caught in projects and you're on them day and night. It would be cool if you got out this way some time.

I'd bought myself a watch as a retirement gift to myself. Nothing fancy, a simple 40mm quartz field watch, around $275. I got it a month or so ago and made the mistake of telling my daughter before I opened it that it was for retirement. She said "Ok, I'll go wrap it up" (damnit!). Opened it this morning, I like it, feels like a Rolex to.my cheap ass.

Thanks Dave, doc appointment this morning. Still waiting to hear from a pulmonologist. Nothing happens fast in Montana.
Now I always thought you guys moved faster to keep warm. Sounds like ya’ve got a good Doc. I too am lucky that way.
