Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

Hello to all! Been a minute, but we're spread thin these days.

This is a testimony! I was fortunate enough to get a draw for an Oryx hunt a couple of weeks ago on the White Sands Missile Range. It was a successful hunt. Iused my favorite carry knife, the Habanero, to skin it out... perfect!

Then I drew a deer tag that I filled yesterday, again the Habanero knocked it out!

Unfortunately, I lost my knife to a young man who is super excited for his deer this year, having taken his first animal, a cow elk, last year. They are not a rich family at all. So to keep him motivated, I gifted him the knife. A perfect for skinning knife. I will miss it dearly, but it was for a good cause. This is the young man with the oryx.

Very cool story, bet the young man was excited about getting a nice knife as a gift. Congrats on the Oryx and the deer. What kind rifle are you using?

Awesome score on a White Sands hunt Dennis! Good on you for passing along that knife, he'll remember that hunt forever. Great to hear from you, I've been a ghost around here but the ball will be rolling come Jan 1st!

Great story Forge!!!
Randy!
Thanks my friend!

Thanks John! It was a good day! Then boy has a healthy respect for life and our responsibility towards wildlife and its management. Except as we were skinning him, after we cut the back feet off to hang him, the boy grabbed the feet and played with them the whole time, a real Bobby Hill moment!

Though a hermit by nature, if anyone's passing through Montana I'll be a free bird in a couple of weeks and am always up for a road trip for a meet. It was great to meet Mack and I'd live to meet more of you guys. Planning a trip down to Arizona sometime in the spring, lunch is on me if anyone's around on the way down. mitch4ging mitch4ging we might get down New Mexico way and come harass you for a bit.

Speaking of which, come January 1st I'm officially full swing with knives and leather. Thanksgiving marks the end of the bill payin job thingy. Redmeadow will be a family operation with the kids on payroll. Been a long time coming and glad the big R is finally here.

John, thank you. It was great to finally meet you and that wonderful young man. Roy is an amazingly polite and bright kid.
I've always loved driving the high line and now I hope I get to do it more often.
Sorry I couldn't buy you breakfast but I really had to get my work done.
Next time I will have some time.
Please thank Roy again for the steak turner. It's going to get a lot of use and will be a prized possession.
I had forgotten to thank you for your service this morning. Sorry about that.
Thanks to all the veterans, today and every day.

The pleasure was ours Mack, great to finally meet you after knowing you for a dozen years or so on here!
The Hiline is a different animal for sure, I've always liked it, good people and a lot of wide open freedom.
Roy did all the forging on that turner, I help with the twist and give some advice along the way.
No worries on the thanks, and a big shout out to the Vets out there!

The countdown is REAL! That's awesome, man.

I have complete faith in your success! No question in my mind!
I'm too dumb and stubborn to stay down, so at least I got that going for me! 😁

Mrs. Redmeadow was laid up in the hospital for a few days last week, she's home now and all is good. Long story short she had a collapsed lung and didn't even know it, talk about a trooper. She's doing good and being waited on hand and foot by me and the kids which involves us constantly yelling at her to get back in bed and that we'll take care of things.

Our doctor is old school, and I mean old school. He pulled my tonsils and delivered both of my kids. When I told him the only problem is keeping Mel down after her surgery he said "Well she's always been like a fart in a frying pan". I'd never heard that one before, had to laugh. Had to look it up too, guess it means bouncing around like popcorn popping, yep that fits her to a T.

Anyways, all is good here and I'm looking forward to getting everyone some damn knives!!!!

Hope she is feeling better and she has a good nurse maid, you could surprise her and wear a tux like a butler, and give her a bell to ring you. 😀

Thanks man, been a long time coming. Can't believe we're finally here. Now let's see if I can make things happen or fall flat on my face, you'll have a good show either way 😆
Good luck to you in your new endeavor, you'll just fine.

Keepin' at it is the first step! Tenacity is something that is disappearing. Lookin' forward to watchin' this space!

Hope she's recovering well! I empathize.
