Dear Members,

Here is a link to a video question and answer session that we just did. There were some funny, great and provocative questions that were posed to me.

To watch go to https://youtu.be/CeTro0pBeiY and feel free to post your comments.

Best,

Ernest Emerson

Let's get some bolsters on the production knives and a few more runs of the Persian.

After that some more variety in the scales and even some other steels like non-stainless carbon steel.

It must be hard to stay so humble when you're as amazing as you are, Mr. Emerson. ;)

Saw you in the YT comments lol.

At least they're a good sport about it:

. . . or maybe they just loved it so they could remember to send a death squad of elite operators after me later. Oh crap. Farewell, forum family, it was an honor to shirtpost with you.

Great that we can engage you in discourse! Thanks very much, can I ask more?

1) Why the left handed chisel grind? I understand in the video you made them for SEALs but why left handed and ...

2) Why folders for UDT/SEALs? They'd have gloves on and, look, I'm no diver, and I wonder if longer fixed blades (for leverage) wouldn't be better for scraping off barnacles to attach limpet mines etc.

3) I'd like a folding ka-bar. Something in the size range of a Spyderco Tatanka or Cold Steel Recon 1 XL. Do I need one? Hell, no!!! Just want one, and I am, unashamedly, a fan of your designs. Comments?

4) I'd like to see more Kemersons and Zemersons and Spemersons. Any comment on this? Also, do you like this newly born terminology some of us have started using? :)

Spy!!! You forgot the best one brother........Lemerson!!
I believe credit for that one goes to Greg.......no surprise there!!!

Not a lot of humility there, but more importantly... shouldn't that (expletive) be orange if he's promoting his brand on blade forums?

Edited the quote for GKD friendly content.

Forget about Lemersons since they can't make anything but poor quality and overpriced folders. Need more Zemersons, Kemersons, Semersons and Femersons. I have examples of each and they're superior to Lemersons.

Quite a bit of hubris there: "The World's Greatest Knife Maker"! :)

Lemerson should just become a design house and farm out all manufacturing.

Sent a report on this, let's see if Good Ol' Ernie is above the law...

Pardon the grammatical issues, sent in haste and changed some of my wording.

Shhh... we don't want to piss him off. My idea here is to get some two way dialogue going here.

I'll make no secret, I love his designs, but at the moment, all I can afford are kemersons. I think they're great (4KXL, 6K) I'd like to get a real Lemerson or two, one day, if he makes them like those kemersons. Frame lock, good lock up, I mean.

What I'd like is copies of those knives in Ti and better steel perhaps. And appropriately sized larger ones.

Mr. Emerson, what say you?

~10 years of service...no complaints. For the real world, they perform as needed. 'Nuff said.

Try ZT/emerson collaborations.

I guess my question is , can you start two identical threads in different sub forums ?
