Q and A for an Industry Icon

I can sincerely thank EE for getting me away from folders and into fixed blades. Since the wave is now trademarked, I can no longer mod folders which means that carrying a folder as a primary is useless to me.

Now people know me as a knifemaker and not a knife waver

At least they're a good sport about it:

. . . or maybe they just loved it so they could remember to send a death squad of elite operators after me later. Oh crap. Farewell, forum family, it was an honor to shirtpost with you.
What is it with you? Did Emerson ruin your childhood or something? Have some respect man. Sheesh

EvilGreg asks a valid question, one that not only makes sense, but one that many members have asked themselves.

I mean c'mon now... for the price he asks and for the materials involved...

I should at least get a free 12 ounce can of tacticool brand Kool-Aid.

I have a feeling no matter WHO comes here proclaiming they are an ICON of anything should be ready for some colorful comments.

Look right there, I have an ICON!
Now what do I get?

Still waiting for some follow up on my reported post.

Yup.

That said, I actually want answers and for him to take our suggestions seriously, so pissing him off isn't high on my priority list :p

If he calls himself an ICON, us normal folks won't sway his own opinion of himself.

Everyone, let's show a little respect here. After all, the man is an ICON. [SUP](And I know this because he told me himself . . .)[/SUP]

You should put a wave on that with a chainsaw file and reply to his video with a picture of it.

True, but he may be less likely to respond.

Alea jacta est. I think we have crossed the rubicon already.

I hope he still will respond but I think you're right. He may not.

Then again, he may surprise us all by being bigger than we think (I hope) and actually engage in discourse here.

I didn't watch the video, just read a lot of comments. Am I to understand this gentleman makes the very best brand of expensive, left-hand chisel ground, galling ti liner lock knives with poor fit and finish?

I knew they weren't my cup of tea, but I am a little surprised at the saltiness. You can be quite savage, bladeforums. But then again, I'm Canadian. We call a "spade" a "manual foot operated digging device."

Mr. Emerson has already made it clear how respected he is, so the rest of us can just have some fun. ;)
