Make YOU go hmmm…. You have 50 post today whining about what other people do. You realize not everyone sits on here enough to have 14000 insignificant post. Worry about yourself my dude. I am the guy you were referring to reply to my post like the other guys you want to complain about. I’ve been a paying member for awhile I just read and gather information. If you have a problem with that it is YOUR problem.
"Worry about yourself, and not others who don't care about this community (like me), and are just here for this knife I want to be able to sell on Ebay next year for $600!"

Take your own advice, my guy. :)

You want to whine about people that meet the requirements like myself. I understand that you may be upset about the people boosting their count yesterday or today. Don’t worry about the people like myself who have spend time here. I didn’t spam anything ever I asked genuine questions. You realize some folks like myself have only been collecting a couple of years.

A few questions... if this is the place. I already placed my order so as to not lose my spot! But...

How long is the blade and also the handle (I can figure out ~OAL)
What is the handle material?

I've been looking for a barlow and in 1095, i'm excited to put a patina on that!

I'm not upset, nor am I whining. I am simply assisting the folks running our Forum Knife sale by pointing out the folks who have purchased a knife that do not meet the requirements.

For some reason, this seems to irritate you, which is odd, because I haven't called you out. You have enough posts (and in a posting pattern that doesn't immediately say "spamming to make the count") and your account is old enough. Sooooooo....?

I went ahead and ordered one last night, I’ve never gotten a forum knife, but in the last six months I’ve spent more time in the traditional forum than any other. I generally read more than I post- mainly because I don’t feel I have a ton to add in this treasure trove of traditional genius.

If I don’t end up getting one, I would be fine. My desire to get one is to share in the experience of the community, not to flip or “just to have”. The random people trying to up their post count kind of missed the point- it’s not your point count that matters, but your intention in the forum.

This years forum knife is made on the 86 pattern but will be a Barlow. The material is sawcut hemlock bone and unlike the 86 2AB which is stainless it will be in 1095 carbon steel.
Hope this bit of information helps

Awesome! Thank you. I'm excited. I couldn't see my post count in traditional but i've been here for many years and know i've made posts here. Hoping i make the cut, i've been looking for a carbon barlow from GEC for a long while now.

This user has 16 posts in this section. I don't believe he passes the requirements.
After seeing the post about how to view post count I can see that I’m not meeting it. Sorry as i didn’t know how to do so before. I am active on BF as I visit and read every day from the time I joined, but I’m not the most active in posting. Last year I got my first BJ knife and was excited to get this years but if I don’t qualify I understand. Maybe someone could PM me with what I should do next. Thanks

Ordered and left my BF username - SnackPack in the special instructions. Thanks all!

I see in my email confirmation from paypal I had no 'instructions to merchant' but I definitely included my BF username in that field. Hopefully it worked! Anyone else see this in their PP confirmation email?

I'd like a "BJ" knife also...ok...maybe not...lol

I'd say try your attempt at this wonderful thread Misplaced Hillbilly Misplaced Hillbilly has created for everyone.

The OFFICIAL boost your post count thread!

Try and get your post count up there and see if you can qualify on time...

This is my first year getting a BF knife and I feel like I would have attempted everything possible to try and get one also.

Good luck to you!

Order placed.

Don't see BF handle in special instructions.

Thank You to everyone who made this possible!

What's sad is the majority of those spamming the porch to get their post counts up will probably not spend any meaningful time in this forum after. They are missing the whole point. The Porch is the real prize...the forum knife is just gravy.
