It's sad, but it just may be that until the GEC mania quiets down, we will need to find a different company to do the Traditional Forum knife. Vetting the flippers has just become too difficult.
Didn't we reach out to Arthur Wright & Son a couple years back? Maybe we could try reaching out again for next year.

I ordered like minutes after it posted yesterday and I did not get a confirmation email from Gunstock Jack's. I did get one from paypal...

Edit:
Maybe check your Junk folders for the GSJ order confirmation? Only suggesting this because that is where I found mine. Even tho GSJ was already on the safe list to begin with. 🤷‍♂️ The order confirmation did have my username listed.
Ah... ha, ha... Found it...
👊 Thanks

The original rules did not state that, you can go find the thread. I explained how I came about the error. I have 70 posts on blade forums... None in the buying and selling which were the original requirments. Had I known it was 50 in this sub forum I would have taken posting in the manner which you are "contributing" several months ago.
This type post shows the problem. "If you had known you would have taken to posting more." These shouldn't be a post to get a knife ... if you want to truly be part of the community your normal posts will show and you won't need to pad your posts to qualify.

I'm just glad to see Barry post that there are some extra that he can still give to members who deserve a chance to get one that may not have seen the order open yesterday.

I am never one to post without reason. This forum is literally the only one I browse any more on Blade forums. I spend a lot of hours reading threads and looking at pictures and admiring traditional knives. In the past several years I have collected quite a few GECs and when the forum knife was posted a while back I was excited because I had never gotten in on one before. The rules originally fit my posting habits, and since I check and read the forums regularly I saw the post this morning and quickly went to order. I did not see the new rider "in the traditional forums" amendment before I ordered. I always assumed that there would be enough knives made based upon interest from the original thread months back- and the fact I posted there saying I was in was enough. I guess how they were going to be sold changed. I am sorry and if they want to go manually cancel my order based upon Quiets dilligent snitchposts- go ahead. I'll still continue posting here and reading forums, under my terms. I am very active in the knife community elsewhere and this is one small place I post and read.

And I might add, I don't know if his estimate of 9 in traditional knives is correct, since he didn't scour my whole post history and at this point... what is the point?

So I only post when I have something to say, and currently I have 47 posts. I can't get a knife, right? I am overseas, so maybe a little discount, haha? Anyway, for the future knowledge, how to order from a European dealer? And who is it?

I suggest that at a selected point in 2022 a computer sorting program be run to determine who is eligible for a knife....... Based on that output, you will have vetted the population..... No one else gets a knife..... If there are more wanting a knife than what are available, then run a random number generator to pick the winners.....

I would guess that would be the case if there were quantity available. When they’re out they’re out.

Wouldn't that be pretty complicated to set up?

Your post count in The Traditional Forum now stands at 15. Incidentally, your use of the term "snitchposts" shows us all why you're really here.

You seem not to get it: you didn't meet either criteria, Charlie's OR Barry's. So, I'm not sure why you keep talking about this situation. You were never in compliance, simple as that.
