QuietBearr cannot be trusted with your knives

I'm not trying in any way to offend you EMT Lee. I'm sorry if I did so.

Indeed the bags were taped on. I don't know if that came from Logan, or the Post Office. Also, consider that the determiniation that the shipping was sub par was that of the USPS and not merely my opinion.

The knife showed up here today. It was shipped wrapped in a plastic shopping bag and stuffed into a Priority Mail envelope. The envelope destroyed itself. The postal inspector put a note into the package when they stuffed my knife back in there.

"We as employees of the Postal Sort Department suggest: A stronger Carton."

When the knife was shipped out to Mr. Cressler it was in beautiful condition. It was shipped in a sturdy box, and the knife was wrapped in brown paper which was secured with twine to protect it within the box. On return, the tip is broken, the knife wasn't cleaned before shipping, and it has rusted, and the heat in the postal warehouse has warped the scales. The knife will be destroyed tomorrow. Mr Cressler has shown a deep disrespect in treating the knife destructively, and by shipping it with as little effort as possible.

I wouldn't recommend sending your work out to Quietbearr Productions. Mr Cressler doesn't have the mettle to be trusted with your tools. The knife returned to me has been rendered garbage by Logan Cressler of Quietbearr Productions.

Take and post pics of it here first!!!!

as if destroying your knife isnt bad enough it looks as if he has taken the video off of youtube.

EDIT: it is definitely taken down.

Logan contacted me this AM. He wants pics of the knife, and says if it is as bad as I say he'll pay me.

I wish this had just been done correctly from the start.

A pic for y'all.

I don't plan to sue anyone. I've not got the time or $ to sue someone over 1 knife for certain. I was pretty happy just to hear from Quietbearr this AM.

Edited to add that Logan has agreed that the knife is unacceptable, and offered to pay for it. He wants the knife if he's going to pay. I don't see anything wrong with this logic, but I'd just rather destroy it and move on. I've declined his payment offer, and the issue is closed. I wouldn't send another piece of my work to him, and don't recommend anyone else doing so either.

That is utterly and completely un-excusable.That a fellow knife "lover" would do that to a knife, let alone SOMEONE elses knife is just beyond me.

Can't you grind everything to make it a useable mini woodman?

I imagine the work required would outweigh the benefits. You would have to remove the scales, regrind the blade, refinish the blade, make up new scales, and repin it. Not to mention it's already hardened which will increase the time and effort fixing the blade would be.

Hey guys, I appreciate the support. Actually, this is a much better ending than I was expecting. There is a knife, and responsibility was accepted.

I thought to making a Ladyfinger with it, but the extra work, described above, except that you'd have to anneal the blank right away so you could re-work the steel. It is just a lot more than its worth.

Oh, bro, you didnt offend me. I was just pointing out that shipping in a plastic bag isnt always a bad thing. I sort of skimmed over the envelope part, though. I always use a box. No need to apologize! :D
