R.A.M. Composite Concepts

I guess I'm with jonnymac44, I like the top one more.
I dunno why. Just do.

It could be done in a polka-dot pattern and I would still buy it. :D

i like the bottom of the two better. how bout merging the hawk designed knife with a galyean designed composite shape something like the design on this blade:

moab_chi07.jpg

its very similar to the bottom of the two pictured but the sections are separate and i think it could blend nicely into the tip.

Thanks Kneedeep! for some reason I just love that look. I've been edcing my new RAM for about a week and I just love everything about it.

Hey Thomas. Does it need a pattern? What about a straight line that follows the edge shape?

If no one likes that, how about a FIRE-like pattern?

Dmonay,

I could be wrong, but it looks like the RAM photo that Thomas used to do the CB mockups is a picture of a pre-production version, before switching to the single piece clip.

Cheers,

jonnymac44 I think you're right.
Heres a picture I found of a G&G Hawk RAM Custom It's the same button. Pretty cool looking knife!! Use the link below to see it.

Well, of the ones provided I like the second the best, but why not stop messing around and do it right...

Well, if we're gonna get all crazy ;), maybe a few small ram heads
like this

only smaller. Maybe someone with photo shop skills could do one up
and see how it looks.
Just a thought.

By far, the "razor wire" version #2. That's nice.

#1 does nothing for me

Ok people, we have a couple of RAM Composite concepts. Need some input. Which one of the two do you like better (or at all)?

We haven't signed off on doing this variation, but just wanted to hear from you. Thanks for taking the time.

I'd vote for the bottom design of the two. They are both nice looking knives that look as though they would be comfortable on the hands, and well designed slicer/utility/medium use knives. Joe

I like the 'Razorwire' graphic because:
1- conveys sharpness
2- dovetails don't come apart
Can U send me one when it's done?- GearNinja.com needs it ;)

Razor wire version, but I still like the idea of a DLC coated blade...
Maybe put half of the blade--the un-composited part in a barbed wire DLC pattern (kinda like the stripes of a ZT 0301) and then have the composite part black on the bottom--so something like:
Black DLC barbwire on top,
Criss-crossing with bead-blasted barbwire on the bottom,
And finished off with the Composite blade.

Just a thought.... I think it would look sweet. (Maybe kneedeep or T1mpani could do a photoshop of one since they're pretty good at it...)
