Just saw on the news it's National Truffle Day. I haven't even started shopping.

mmmm...looks like a good old diner burger. We've still got a Kewpie in town that serves awesome cheeseburgers. They aren't huge or extravagant, but just good old diner food.

Exactly. Brown's Diner burger. Just a little nugget of cholesterol-laden heaven.

Last night I was at Waffle House and I had a burger, with bacon jalepenos egg(sunny side up) and cheese... with chili hashbrowns on the side.

It was quite glorious.

My toilet is begging for mercy today!

Scored this NIB Camelback M.U.L.E. and a corded Dremel w/all the accessories today at the local Pawn Shop..total cost $75 cash. I like this pack, great size for hunting/day-hikes. I added a couple Condor pouches and whipped up a matching kydex-suit for my 16 to utilize the MOLLE panel and took the hydration pouch out. I'm gonna put a Fire-kit/EDC stuff in one Condor and a FAK in the other (I need a velcro Red Cross patch). I MOLLE-Locked my 16 on and then added a 550 dummy cord (just because I'm paranoid like that LOL). I'm also gonna put a 14 sheath on the left shoulder-strap I think.

I like that Chocolate Brown kydex...first time I've used it.

That's a great pack! I've got one that a buddy picked up for me when he was at Camp Anaconda.

I think the Camelback is as good (actually better IMO) then the Maxped gear I have owned/handled. Frankly, the cheap Condor pouches are 98% as nice as the Maxped gear, for half the price.

I'm talking materials, finish, sewing, zippers, etc. etc.

I LOVE the zipper system on the CB...works smooth and seems bull-tuff so far.

The CB also has some very well-thought out details, Like how the waist belt has lil storage stuff-sacks, and the shoulder strap has velcro loops to hold down the loose/tag ends. Good stuff!

I have got some condor stuff that was decent, and I have got some that was horrible. Like with most China stuff, It is very hit or miss. My Maxped gear has always been consistent in construction, and bombproof.

I have yet to try camelback, because I dislike water bladders.

OLJ, once you try it, you'll wonder why in the hell it took you this long to get it.

I tried my first one, on a hike a couple of weeks ago, and I was kind of taken back by it. I never really liked "warm" water on a hike, and I always thought my heat and sweat would warm it up too much.

I was wrong. Stays colder and easier to get to. Hell yeah.

I bought a pack today too. And a hammock. I got a jungle milspec hammock so it has the bug guard and the floor underneath too. I'm thinking I should hang it before I come down for the gathering though so I don't look like a complete fool trying to rig this thing.
