A guy revives a two year old thread to state.......

Well its time to put Kabar to the test. I'm sending in my BK9 that had broken in half due to a slight fall on to my kitchen floor from the table yes you heard correctly. I will keep you posted on how good kabar's warranty is.

Interesting. I requested pics. No response thus yet.

Awesome. I was just reading about the Natural Bridge area. Looks like we got some hiking in store. Thinking about taking my Falcon II with me.

We did the big loop hike right off the bat and it took us three days to get over it. Lot's of elevation change. You can ride the ski lift up and hike down. We were wishing we'd done that. :D

Settling for page 3, le *sigh*
Back on the train _again_. Barely getting any knifey work done.

I've totally misplaced my 14 with the Sh@rp scales. It'll turn up, but it's bugging the crap out of me right now.

You posted a pic of it not too long ago if that helps any.

(As in you put it somewhere after you snapped the pic)

My uncle brought a friend, who hadn't ever been turkey hunting, back to the farm this weekend.
Long story short, we started talking about knives and apparently he is a friend of Ethan.
Since he was unsuccessful with his hunt, he is going to try to come back to tomorrow and give it another shot.
He said if he comes back he will bring some prototypes that Ethan gave him a couple years ago to do some T&E on.
Needless to say, I hope he can make it back.
Damn, it is a small world.

Just got home from a family dinner, and my lil bro and his wife made the official announcement that they are pregnant. First baby in the family, and I will be an uncle for the first time. I knew a few days ago, but had to keep it hush hush till they told the whole family :D

being an uncle is maybe the best job in the world! All the joy of being a Dad without the full-time responsibility! You get to be the ''buddy'' while your brother has to be their ''Dad-Boss'' LOL

I have had that pleasure since I was 9...my oldest nephew is closer in age to me then his dad (my brother) is.

CONGRATS!

That's probably what I'll do, haha. Well, my mom is going with us, so...

I also read where 40 people per year fall off the edges of the cliffs there. They said usually it involved younger people, or alcohol, or both. And at least 2 deaths per year there.

The article in the link said:
What was once a necessity is now a leisure activity for Russia's new rich, with companies charging more than $8,100 to kill a bear. One online video boasts the added attraction of killing a bear from a tank.
Forget the money, Forget the cruelty, Forget your own name!
-Killing a bear from a tank is the single most hardcore, metal, awesome, brütal, spine-tingling, exciting, salmon-paste creating, skull&jugular-beerbonging, sea-snake-venom-candymaking, solar wind-kiteflying-- visual awesome-gasm I've ever heard of!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except for chasing the bear down and running it over in the tank whilst shouting "my spoon is bigger than yours!!!! repeatedly

Yeah, yeah I'm here. Sorry, been busy playing with machaxen, wrangling snakes & doing the whole 30th thing.

Oh and while at my girlfriend's daughter's art show today I realized there may be a future batch if Beckerheads in the works. They totally understand Machax love.
