There is NO "U" in between the "C" and the "L" in NUCLEAR. There is only ONE U and it is before the C. About 41 years ago, for some insane reason I took the introductory Nuclear Engineering course for Nuclear Engineering majors. Not the survey course - I was the only imbecile out of about 15-20 in that class who was not a Nuclear Engineering major. Anyway, in that class it was always pronounced NU-CLE-AR or NU-CLEAR. Not NU-CU-LAR. Because there is no U between the C and the L, and there IS an E after the C.

That is all. Thank you.

I thought welterweights were around 140-147 pounds. But I think I saw something that these guys are around 170 pounds. Am I confused, or is that a UFC thing (boxing fan but not fully checked out on UFC/MMA)? If true, any idea why they changed the weight classes so drastically? TIA!

UFC thing, not sure why. Light weights are 155ers, welter at 170, middle weights 185ers....

That one always bugged me. "Noo-kuhl-urr".

Hey dumbass, if you can say "new" and you can say, "clear" then you can say "nuclear/new-clear".

So im thinking about getting a pair of work boots
made for me by one of a few companies that still hand make work boots such as Wesco, Nick's,
JK Boots, and Frank's !... And after doing My research on these 4 companies ive narrowed
It down to either JK Boots or Frank's Boots
As jk has had been owned and operated by the
same family since day one and the same with Frank's who was the GM at Nicks boots for 20 years before opening his own shop and he also took 6 or 8 of the original boot makers that had been with nicks since the 60s ! So i believe that experience will make the difference between boot brands and so i think ill go with Frank's Boots. ! So does anyone here have any experience with Hand made boots ?... a plus if its with one of the brands mentioned above !
Any and all advice or comments are welcome

I have always worn Redwings. Everyday during my 20 yrs in construction as a glazier. I wore steel toes for work. Now that I’m retired. I bought a more expensive Redwing moc toe boot. These boots are my everyday every occasion boot. Long walks and hikes daily. Wipe them off and your ready for a nice dinner. I have never owned a hand made boot like the ones you asked about. But I can say that a good pair of boots is the most important thing I wear.
I don’t leave home without them. I only buy USA made Redwing boots ( they are not all USA made sadly).
I’m sure a hand made boot from a small shop would be very nice. I might go that route one day.
