It never hurts to try to help another addict fellow traveler. Good deeds are their own reward.

Now that I think about it, I pulled the number for that giveaway for David Mary that you won. I guess I'm on a roll this past week.

I agree with mb>! Thanks so much for that…I really do appreciate it! I got a bit over excited and wasn’t paying attention to where the post was. LOL! I’ve been trying to find a HDMC for What seems like forever. I did win it too by the way…. Thanks for supporting my addiction! Does Nathan do spa treatments? This one looks extra loved!

Thinking out loud ....as some of you may know that I'm having a 3V short sword made for me by Eric Brinkerhoff who is a bladesmith who is also member here on bladeforums and I'm having the leather sheath made by our very own Duramax!... and on
¹ the sheath I want to put a flashlight holder a ferro rod holder and a place for a compass so upon looking for these things I have decided to ask the good people who frequent the cpk sub forum so come on over and tell me about your suggestions! ...

The Wilson M7 thread in Custom and Handmade is a nice example along the lines you are thinking.
However, in my opinion a short sword is not a survival knife, so I would keep the sheath cleaner and simpler, then pack the other kit separately.
