Random Thought Thread

I have a stag slipjoint from him as well which is really nice. I don’t have a use for a large bowie/chopper style knife (that needs to change) but I‘m happy as hell to be getting it! 😁
since when does the word 'use' have any relevance when it comes to knife collecting?😝

I have about 20 gallons of kerosene left over from the heating season. I remember thinking how ridiculous it was, $4 a gallon, but now that's cheaper than diesel. I wonder what happens if I put it in my truck?
If it’s going into a truck or machine pre emission stuff like DEF fluid and cat. Yes , we mix it up here for a winter fuel blend. Especially old machinery that sits in winter. Just start off easy on the blend at first. 80/20 or 90/10 is usually the blend we would use depending how cold it was.

You can also use the stuff seafoam as a fuel cleaner. When we change out fuel filters we pre-fill the filter with it. But there’s plenty of products out there for this now. Same for winter fuel additive instead of kerosene 👍

I'll do some slick titanium flippers on bearings at some point but I'm starting simple in my folder endeavor. I've been carrying a Sebenza for years, I'm going to stick with what I know at first.

Don't much care for the bearings, Nathan, washers are just fine / often preferred. Just the thumbstud only is an issue for me. An additional flipper or hole would be much appreciated. Here is why:

1) You already have a CRK lock, why also have a CRK opening ? Do you want it to be a Sebbi re-blade ?
2) A flipper tab would fit right into your "FK2 folder" design, the flipper tab would mimic the FK2 guard
3) A flipper and/or hole makes a right-handed RIL ambidextrous. I'm heavly right-handed, still left hand RIL use is no problem, see my lousy movie below. It's safe because of the flipper tab.

I rest my case :)

Roland.
