I petition there should be fewer uses of doorbells and TV shows and movies.

Y'all people with dogs, you feel me?
add fireworks to the list. Real ones are the worst, but just last night the show we were watching had the briefest moment of fireworks and Mako lost her fucking mind:rolleyes:

Mine never did that, but I had a Goldendoodle who loved to watch TV. Especially if ANY animals appeared, she would run at the TV and bark her fool head off. Not just other dogs - any animal. I remember one time when a crocodile moved off screen, she ran behind the TV to find where it went. LOL! And the strangest thing is that she was even triggered by animated dogs. When my daughter was little, she loved the movie "Bolt" and we bought a copy. This stupid dog would bark her fool head off and park herself right in front of the TV whenever Bolt came on. She would watch the whole thing. I loved that dog to death. And her sister Godendoodle had absolutely zero interest in the TV. Never figured that whole thing out.

My dog is one of the weirdest animals I've ever owned. After dinner, he'll go and lie down in the home theater room. I usually go there and play video games and listen to music until my wife is ready to watch a TV show. As soon as we turn a TV show on, he'll go upstairs. Doesn't matter what TV show, he just doesn't want to be in the room. He will stay for news. Mind you that I listen to music and play video games at a loud volume. So I don't think it's the noise that bothers him.

Our cabin has no door bell, so people knocked on the door when we were there over Christmas.

Now, back at home, when I knock on the wooden table, the dogs go nuts 🤣

Fireworks are something else. The older one (not a scared dog, normally) does not want to leave mom's side for 24h.
