I've done some basic folders for friends and family but I haven't had the time to work up a production pattern. It is on my to-do-list.

So .... a sketchy guy at work with mental problems snapped today at another employee .... threatened to kill his family kill himself and said he knew where he lived


Upper management shrugged it off till the assistant manager sent him home, he looked off .... not there in a sense till he was sent home....


Society is messed up , I will not be a victim tomorrow

Told my wife there's been numerous complaints on the guys behavior and if something happens .... management has been told numerous times

The problem is that even when you prepare mentally for various scenarios, it's doubtful, if it should come to it, that it will go down the way you planned.

I still think the prudent thing is either complete avoidance of the situation, and in an abundance of caution, making a report to the appropriate authority. Think how you'll feel if something happens and you didn't take a step to let someone know.

Not trying to guilt trip you. I hope you know that. Just want you safe, as well as your co-workers.

Whatever you decide, good luck.

I couldn't agree more I shoot for fun a lot, in all honesty I don't want to be in a situation like this (because of all you stated above)

I'm no ninja, this isn't the matrix or some other movie.... this is real life

I'm talking to co workers right now on a plan
 
if one thing is true, it's that people who end up doing really bad things almost always tell someone or otherwise indicate they're going to do them beforehand. The majority of people stand aside until the bad thing happens and then express shock when it does. And it's not like a guy only has a knife or a baseball bat to choose from in the US, lots of options for the amplification of the bad thing.

Just my .02’s worth
Given the nature of the threats , and the persons past history. A anonymous call to your local police would be a good idea. There are plenty of resources available today to give aid to this guy that they can provide access too. Also if anything should be about to happen, better to give police the head start. He may be a danger to others and even himself. Maybe they already know this person from outside your work place ?
Either way STAY SAFE !!!!!

If a few of you call out tomorrow because you don’t feel safe that should send a message to mangers or owners. If you can’t do that I would make the call myself and or make sure someone is keeping in eye on him.
the part of town I work in is on the edge of not the best area and I decided to 2A even at work. I put a heavy storage box in my tool box and swap from the normal EDC to the smaller one for work hours. If I get fired over it it would suck but I NEED to make it home the the wife and kid every day.

Keep your eyes peeled on Friday. For some reason when the disgruntled snap they usually show up to go postal on Fridays.
