I think you're missing the punchline in the second joke.

The version I recall hearing:

A bear walks into a bar and says, "Gimme a shot....


... and a beer".

The bartender replies, "What's with the big pause?"

The bear looks down, shrugs and says, "Dunno. They've always been that way"
 
Some excitement on my very quiet court this morning.

3 units pulled up to a house 2 houses away from mine and contacted a woman walking on the sidewalk across the street only dressed in a robe.

Didn't ask but it obviously was a domestic dispute.

Also didn't stand around to watch to see if anyone was arrested. The units pulled out in about 15 mins.

This was NOT the 1st time I've seen units pull up to that house. :(

you're in bad company. I've been dealing with it since last Tuesday, spread it to my family Wed or Thurs, and although I felt good enough to get some work done yesterday I'm back on my ass today. Looking forward to this bivalent vaccine, it should tame things a little bit in the future

Sorry you caught it and hope you get better soon but the pandemic is no where near ending yet.

I know that the POTUS recently stated that the "pandemic" is "over" but he (unfortunately) mispoke. Every medical "expert" questioned about the matter disagrees with this statement because, while the severity of the pandemic has been reduced, a lot of people are still getting sick and dying from Covid.

Here's one expert's opinion on the matter:

So I got this sheath from CPK, and it is a Mashed Cat.
Does anyone else have marring or nicks on their handles when using a taco sheath? This is my first time seeing this from this maker’s sheath.
I initially used this sheath for the woodedn scales and thought a little damage was from the layers of TruOil and maybe extra thickness … it is still occurs on the Westinghouse scales.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
