It felt like a deep, albeit brief, impact. Our immediate thoughts were that there was an accident. A lot of knuckleheads like to speed on the road on the other side of the creek from us.

What was most notable was that it set my dogs off - they didn't know wtf was going on but they didn't like it.

unsettling stuff. we had a 5.1 in 2020 and having never experienced one it was interesting

With today's upcoming Shiv Pre-Order I see that Nathan has added as a possible option: "double edge dagger grind with modified fuller".
The original full DE Shivs were quite rare. I believe Mr. "betzner" had one. Does anyone have a link to a photo of a Shiv with DE?
I've been looking through some various threads but haven't been able to come across one yet with an active/live photo?

I don’t recall ever seeing a true double edged Shiv, but I haven’t seen everything just somethings. I feel like that would have sunk into my memory if it had. There were very few. as in maybe just a few, that has the top spine of the top sharpened and inch or so back. There are pictures of those in the Can I get a picture of some Shivs thread.

Won’t be the first time I was wrong, nor the last, if someone pops in here with a true double edged Shiv, but so don’t think it exists in that for originally from CPK.

I'm rather fuzzy on the details of Nathan's Shiv variations...
I could have been mixing up the Shiv with DE dagger grind UF's? I've seen some of the original Shiv's with the sharpened tips but I thought there might have been a few (2/3) DE dagger grind Shiv(s)? Maybe not...

I think you are right that there were probably two or three with the longer sharpened swedge. But there was not any that had different geometry in addition to the long sharpened area. On this shiv he plans to do a separate variation with a smaller Fuller.
