I wish there were a way to "like" a post more than once

We should hang out
Yeah, no joke. Must be why I like you guys so much. We seem to be on the same wavelength/channel.

I'm another one in the moderate, slightly right camp.

What disappoints and aggravates me, is the whole "us, not them" nonsense, snowballing into the 2 camps trying so hard to show "We're not them" that both end up going off into the opposite ends of extremes, just to show how much "not like them" each one is.

Apparently, no one knows or cares about the philosophical merits of the Golden Mean nowadays.

I'm hard right. I get as far away as I can from the idiots that riot and burn down businesses and threaten people wearing MAGA hats. And if they mess with me I will show them no mercy.

The original SHIV was the knife that made me aware of CPK and Nathan the machinist in general and i never thought id get a chance to get my hands on the SHIV !...but low and behold there was a SHIV Pre-Order recently and i managed to get a spot on the pre-order at post 52 and with the SHIV being limited to only 300 blades i hope with my post being a relatively low double digit post that i secured a spot on the list for one of the 300 SHIV's...
As nathan has said the SHIV is a titan in the history of CPK and for me it is a must have CPK knife along with the DEK Series and The UF2 (which has not left my belt since i got it!) And the Choppers and hopefully the light chopper makes its return next year as that would for me another must have CPK blade !
And with the SHIV in my collection it will make a grand total of 4 CPK blades: a dek3
A single edge UF2 and double edge ground UF2 and last but not least the SHIV would make 4 and all in Delta 3V...and one of the choppers would round out my collection and with those 5 CPK knives i shouldnt need any others knives because as nathan always says that he believes that he and the CPK Crew make and sell the best knives in the world and i also believe that to be the case as i have edc'd my Single edge UF2 since its been delivered to me and theres nothing this blade cant handle ! And now that im living on 15 acres in the mountains of new mexico theres plenty of things to cut !... tho i havent batonned any cinder blocks i have batonned tons of pine and red cedar wood ! And anything else that needs cutting the UF2 for me is a take it any and every where and do anything i ask of it blade that will continue to be on my person until i can no longer use a knife !...

What I like about CPK's Westinghouse is that it feels and looks almost like wood, with the advantages of Micarta.

A bit sad that it's not there anymore.

UF2 is the the one that got away. I think I sold mine to fund the DEK3 preorder.
Sounds like the UF2 is a perfect companion for your needs. Awesome blade!
Maybe one day I will reunite with a UF2 of my own.

Yes sir jackmandu ! It is imo perfection in blade form and the name suits the knife well because it really is very Utilitarian in that theres no cutting or slicing task that the UF2 does not preform well and that fact coupled with its light weight and the nimble way it can be manipulated it excells at being used as a fighting knife so much so that even if i didnt have my G20 on me and only had my UF2 on my person i would not be afraid of stepping into one of the many dark alley ways here in the city of Albuquerque,nm as anyone who lives here can tell you the streets here rival any of the cities that are 10 times bigger like chicago,NYC ,LA, jacksonville,ATL etc ...and with me relying on the UF2 as much as i do im doing my best to learn how to sharpen it with diamond sharpeners from DMT mainly the DMT Magna guide kit as well as a strop bat from jre industries!...as i dont think nathan offers the spa treatment for people to send him their knives so they can be freshened up and sharpened ! ...

Friggin M-Class, be it ML350, ML550, ML63, specially if early model W164 chassis. Nothing but POS money pit which will eventually put itself in limp mode when the Check Eng light comes on and stays on (if unaddressed) for many various reasons. I am going to make a very rude and controversial statement: the fracking thing is assembled in AL, so don't but the early MBZ-AL assemblies! I much rather have the older body on frame W163 chassis than the POS unibody W164 chassis.

It's nicer than any car that I've ever owned. The people who buy these don't care about these "shortcomings". If they forget where they parked it they just go buy another one. If the headlight is out it is not intended for the owner to replace it (the headlight). They'll spoil their manicure. The driver should take it to the dealership and they should drive their Bentley instead.

So glad I drive a GL, not ML, so I'm not included here 🤣 Great tow vehicle, BTW, and my dealer keeps making me offers to sell it to him - people are looking for used ones.

That being said, if you have either, get yourself a diagnostic error code reader. Best $200 I ever spent - limp mode sucks. For example, a couple of months ago I had to reset the engine light because the car took 20' instead of 15 to warm up. At ~0 deg F outside. And changing the lights on the GL is straight forward.

I would humbly suggest that that line of reasoning is both overly optimistic and not grounded in reality.

A little fear, (along with a good dose of common sense in avoiding stupid places and the people that occupy them), can make all the difference in how your day goes.
