Bro are you OK?
We need you well rested to 1. Take care of your family,
2. Hack that Mori for memory, and
3. Make all the knives.

We're transitioning from DEK production to K20 production. My mind won't STFU at night. Which is fine. It's totally fine. I'm fine. it's fine.

I'm going on about 16 hours right now, after about three hours sleep (*if you can call it that) yesterday evening, and the finish line not even in sight. Believe me, I get it.

As a fellow sufferer of, "My brain won't go to sleep", I feel for you. ☹️

A ruminating mind is like the friggin computer that has many windows open always running something in the background. Nathan is a great unfucker but in this case what Dr. Mat (yes I’m legit, my pappy was one!) orders is a simple “f*ck it” attitude. Sometimes you have to f*ck it before you unfuck it!

Mori came back for more money. $2,000 for 2 Mb of memory was too cheap. They need more than that. We're up to $2,679.23. For memory.

Fanuc wanted $1,400 for memory for a different Mori but I could look up the chip and buy it new from Newegg for $4 and install it. It's not the cost of the memory, it the cost of knowing which data bit to change. Bastards.
You need to find an ex-Mori emkoyee and offer him/her a cool grand to give you the scoop on how to change the correct bit (are you sure it even IS a bit - could be you just remove the right jumper(?)).

Meanwhile . . . it turns out that just today I was presented a bill for $3200 to replace a two dollar plastic part in an HVAC box in a 2013 Toyota Avalon. I turns out that when this cheap piece of plastic f@c#s itself, the HVAC box doesn't work anymore, and your heater now blows cold air into the passsenger compartment. It turns out that to access this HVAC box and replace it, you have to remove your entire dashbard to get access. It turns out that "winter is coming" and I already somehow made it through LAST winter without heat in my vehicle (thank you, heat seater). It turns out I'm not doing that again. It turns out that it's a good thing I never meet the engineer who thought this wonderful design would be a good idea, or I would likely need to buy a new DEK.

And it turns out that out that for the only time ever, I bought an extended warranty (which is always a terrible idea) when I purchased this vehicle, and It is still under the warranty because I hardly drive anywhere And it turns out that I only had to pay the $250 deductible. 🕺🕺🕺

So . . . it turns out that you BETTER TAKE those calls from those extended car warranty spam callers. 🤣 Actually, no. You shouldn't.

Sounds like it's cheaper to put some nice blankets in your car. 😂
