I was sure this story was heading towards a different ending.
I think you’re back to mythical beast hunting then. Thanks, but I was wondering about treatment after a final polish or buffing. I guess conversion was the wrong word. I am more looking to find out what to use for an acid treatment for rust protection.
It's simple. Just apologize for mistaking her for a lady.I don’t know how I’d react if a woman lost it because I opened a door for her. On a first date I’d just assume she’s hangry and I’d get a good hearty bacon cheeseburger to settle me in for what’s going to be an interesting couple hours![]()

TBH, the one that tickles me pink (![]()
Just saying...
TBH, the one that tickles me pink (), is brown. There's another color you don't see in a rainbow, but I had an amazing knack for making it when mixing paints for art (Mom taught art, English and geography).
My brother took after my mom art-wise. Me? I learned to be pretty decent with pencil, but never developed the knack for mixing paint for skintones. My flesh tones were... something else. And as I continued trying to mix more colors to try to get something that didn't look like straight pink, I always wound up with some kind of muddy brown (or maybe I was just a diverse artist) Gave up on it and stuck to pencil (though I haven't drawn a darned thing art-wise, in ages).
My mother knew there was trouble on the horizon when my kindergarten teacher told her I had no real talent for finger painting.
Drawing? I could barely color within the lines. I had a moment with Ivory Soap sculptures and milk carton structures, though.
(The principal complimented me on the milk carton structures. Said I was very creative. (He must've thought I was retarded.) I was a milk monitor to get me out of the teacher's hair. Imagine my parents' pride when I later made captain of the school crossing guard / hall monitor staff. Hahahaha.)

I’m not a metallurgist and really not that smart, but I don’t think an acid wash will improve corrosion resistance. If the acid isn’t neutralized after wash it will improve corrosion - flash rust.
But you could acid wash it, neutralize and wipe it down with mineral oil. The first two steps won’t help but the mineral oil will.
Or mythical beast stomach acid.
^^^
That’s my opinion based on life experiences. Purely anecdotal. Somebody smarter may actually know the answer. That’s the best I could do.
Same! One of the country greats for sure.Love Merle. Miss him.
I tried to elevate him to Rear Admiral the other day and none of you swabbies backed my play. Sigh.^Can this post get more likes please?
