Random Thought Thread

Honestly, I got over pneumonia, but found out I have lung cancer. I haven’t started testing to find what stage it’s in. That being said I’ve been a smoker for over fifty years ( I’m 67). So it’s not like I didn’t have a clue where t may be headed. But it’s still a gut punch. If caught early, there is a 95+ percent for 5 year plus survival.
So right now it’s one step at a time, one day at a time. And I feel perfectly normal! Gone back to work and doin’ my thing!!
My older brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2014, with a 5% survival rate at 5yrs back then. He is still alive and kicking on meds, after several rounds of radiation for mets to the brain, and onset of lymphoma treated this year - he is stable. He's 62 now, and if he can be this well after 8.5 years then you can fight it too!
