Tip up Emerson here. Never an issue with tip down. That said I don’t discriminate. Those who do sit to PeeI've been stabbed by a few Spyderco comp locks in tip up that partially opened in my pocket. Never been nipped by my tip down Militaries.
Yes, we need more police in the forum for sure. Awesome point.I'd argue that the number could be far less though - considering that unless the thread was policed rigorously and cleaned up frequently, there's a lot of fluff in there due to it not being an "official" forum exchange sub.
Still, I think it's a good idea, it just might take a bit for folks to realize it's there and make use of it.
Ohhhhhhh Kermieeeeeee !!!
Wife just got hers replaced yesterday. Something hit the bottom right corner, and over a couple months it crept up and over to the other side...really spread over the last few weeks. Not too happy with the job Safelite did, but it's a 10 year old car that will hopefully be replaced soon.I caught this crack as it started for an unknown reason on my drive home
Kept growing and growing then stopped
Was kind of cool to watch... till I realized I now need a windshield

I have issues with a super mod constantly shit posting. I have issues with a super mod calling Nathan in the middle of moving machinery to discuss forum rules and annoy him into allowing you to lock the exchange thread we have been using for years. It’s not personal, Elliot. For me. But chastising me personally as an “officer of the court” to invoke “rule of law” in a knife forum? Please. You’ve just confirmed that you’re in here playing cops and robbers. On a knife forum. Rule of law. Gimme a break. But no, it’s not personal. I’m reacting to what you’re doing. Not who you are. So do what you wish. You’re the one with all the power here.As an officer of the court, you should support the rule of law rather than lament its existence.
Everyone on this site freely agreed to abide by its terms of service, and frankly, its administration is far from suffocating. The fact that you have issues with me personally shouldn't cause you to lose sight of the facts.
Additionally, Spark has a right to run his business in the, (hopefully profitable), manner he sees fit. I don't see it as being overly restrictive. YMMV...and obviously does.
I try to ignore your little digs, but figured it was time to respond. I won't waste my time on it further.

Please understand that I am not in any way being a smart ass or questioning your comment. I simply don’t understand how a compression lock knife with no flipper to push a blade partially out is able to have the tip poke out enough to get stuck unless it is too loose. I have carried a PM for 2 decades and never had an issue. I stopped carrying flippers tip up after having one open up when I was squatting down to grab something and the crease in jeans pushed on the flipper.I've been stabbed by a few Spyderco comp locks in tip up that partially opened in my pocket. I just love posting Anchorman quotes when possible. My apologies.
From my vast experience as a factotum, Spydercos with their liner locks versus compression locks have always invoked some major emotions in people. I personally like the frame lock Mili with Ti scales and S90V steel. I feel like a total idiot now for having sold my spare one. Forgot the exclusive dealer's name now, but he was giving them away at some point because he had over ordered them. Their prices had even dropped from 295 to 195 on their website. The good ol' times!
