Tomato is not a fruit in my household like many other households but since it is what the tomato plant produces, the product of that plant can semantically be referred to as a "fruit". However, I have yet to see or taste a fruit cake baked with tomatoes as its main ingredient unless one considers and believes an omelette made with tomatoes to be a fruit cake in which case the believer may also be the fruitcake.

Jo and I are at a burger joint right now getting lunch. They don't offer tomatoes? Who doesn't offer tomatoes at a burger joint? I don't understand? What is happening?
That's f@#ked. The good burger places sprinkle a touch of salt and pepper on the tomatoes before they put it on the burger.......

Damnit I want a cheeseburger

That's my kind of burger joint, never have to worry about forgetting "no tomato"😂

This is 'Murica. We don't need no stinkin' (fruits and) vegetables. Eat your fries!

I can swear that there is a video from the older and the earlier days of this sub when Nathan was smoothly slicing tomatoes with a CPK. IIRC, it was the OG-FK which he was using. I can't remember his older YT channel name but I remember the video.
I think he just changed the name of his channel.
It was “NateAIM” or something with AIM in it. But all the videos are in one place - under “Carothers performance knives” channel

Oh, look at Nathan... He was quite a bit younger looking, wasn't he?! Also, I forgot to add that he sliced tomatoes after he hammered into nails 'n things and that was the punchline. Thanks Cap'n ;)

I am seriously distraught. WTF. 0 stars

There are even burger joints that don't serve tomato ketchup (or is it catsup?) - and won't let you bring your own!

About 40 years ago in St. Petersburg, FL I used to frequent a sub (or was it a hero, or was it a grinder, or was it a hoagie) sammich shop that had NO lettuce.

Not a cake, but green tomato pie is pretty tasty!

Being a product of (a fruit of?) England in my much earlier days, I was accustomed to all sorta savory type of pies as opposed to the sweet kind of pies which are more American than English I think. Never tried green tomato pie though, must look that one up

Growing up in the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Texas with a mom from South Carolina I have eaten some very strange and excellent food.

It may sound very hick, but on a really hot day some really cold sliced tomato on white bread with mayo is great (BLT minus the B/L).

Living in Alaska has made me appreciate the abundance of fruit/veggies I took for granted being elsewhere.
