Random Thought Thread

Did anyone else really want a khukuri after seeing waterworld?
 
watching Kevin Costner act usually makes me want to remove my eyes with a grapefruit spoon. That being said, his being cast for a fish man character was kind of brilliant. Dennis Hopper, obviously, makes that movie worth watching, (guilty secret; I've seen Waterworld multiple times)
 
Random thought: I wonder why the mail is still delivered as loose individual articles of mail rather than being bagged at the automated sorting facility into a single chunk for the carrier to deal with.
 
Amazon has an option where you can let them in your front door to set a package inside. I'm sure that's great for folks getting robbed, but ...uh...no thanks!

One reason could be that addressee’s mailboxes vary in size so not all bundles may fit inside every mailbox, specilally if mail goes uncollected for a couple of days.

Riveting Movie! and yes it made me want to buy another 45-70
My love for lever guns and single actions all started with my dad and John Wayne. Who can forget The Duke standing there with his lever action and saddle at the beginning of Stagecoach.

It was an incredible movie. One of the best I've seen in a long time...though I was reaching for the remote on the cringe scene. I don't think I've seen Jeremy Renner do a better acting job. I think he was better in this than Hurt Locker even.
 
Must say ! I’m new to the fixed blade world ! My father is not!! He told me a few months ago , if your going to get into fixed blades join blade forum , and look at Carothers knives . He has been wanting a HD FK for awhile , now I’m addicted !! Being old school he doesn’t like to buy off the internet , so that’s where I came in . Now thanks to some great people here , we now own a few of these knives , great place , and now order day has us like kids waiting for the new video game releases !!! Thanks for the sales guys !!! I may be new here , but I’ll be around for awhile now lol!!!
 
Can't beat the system.

I think I see the problem. It is virtually impossible for me and probably others to get into the Friday sales. To speed things up, I connected my computer directly to the cable modem. My download speed is now over 100 mbps and my upload speed is 3.2 mbps. Within one second of seeing Nates post show up I entered my post. Total time less than 3 seconds. I was already on page 2. My best guess is that delays through the various servers is causing the problem. I am not a computer expert, but I can see no way to post any faster.
