Roland, it's nice to find another pilsner drinker amongst these IPA nuts.

The Sapporo was delicious, in case anyone was wondering.

We were watching the '84 Grammy Awards, and ask my dad, "Do you think that's a guy, or a girl?". Dad goes, "A girl". "Nope", and my brother and I start laughing. "His name is Boy George". Dad goes, "Harumph...".

Then the Eurythmics do a live performance of their hit, 'Sweet Dreams', and we go, "What about this singer, dad? Do you think this one's a guy or a girl". Dad goes, "That one's definitely a guy". We crack up again, "Nope. That's a girl:.

My dad actually gets mad. His face turns red and he says, "What do you think I am? Stupid? That's definitely a guy! Women don't have sideburns!!!". My mom who's also laughing goes, "I've seen other videos by this band. It's a woman. She's just wearing a wig with sideburns". My dad looks at us, back at Annie Lennox on screen, and shakes his head and just goes, "Harumph".

I am with you on the burnout! I am a diehard HopHead, but am leaning more toward true pilsners and Trappist ales recently. I go through phases!

Talking about IPA’s and lagers, I am drinking a cold IPA, which is a “type” of IPA brewed with lager yeast. This one is really well done brewed by a friend of mine who has 31 years of experience. If you are ever in Denver and love beer swing by his place, Burns Family Artisan Ales. Sorry about the plug and I have nothing to do with his place but he makes some amazing beers.

Same…this is a pretty good one, I like to try historical styles sometimes and think about what life was like back then.
