Sounds like heavenConsidering my diet has consisted of mostly "hot buffalo wing" pretzels, beer, cigars and undercooked red meat for the last several days, I'm feeling remarkably good this morning.

For you, Max:Man... Soupy Sales... there's a name that literally hasn't crossed my mind in decades.
Micarta comes in three main types, paper, linen, and canvas. The paper can take the highest polish, but is perhaps less durable. Linen and canvas are both durable. Nathan won't sell you anything that isn't. You can look through pictures in this forum. The grippiness depends a little on whether or not you request a buffed finish. Can someone explain the difference in linen vs canvas scale materials? Can you see a difference, feel a difference? Also what is better when wet? What is better for long term durability? Also is Terotuff the latest and greatest?
Thanks
Canvas micarta is more coarse than linen. It looks cool, it feels good and it's less expensive. But linen is a little neater and dressier looking.
Micarta works really well, but TT is a little better. It's lighter, absorbs shock better, plays well with sweaty hands. The disadvantage is lower stability, ugly as hell, gets funky looking.
None of my knives are intended to be used with gloves. You can, but it shouldn't be necessary unless it's cold or you're in brush that might stick your hands.
After a certain age, it sounds like it can get you to heaven pretty quick...Sounds like heaven

Burlap is coarser than canvas, which is coarser than linen, and you can certainly see this difference in the scales. Can someone explain the difference in linen vs canvas scale materials? I feel like my polished burlap scales aren't as grippy as my polished linen micarta. Maybe it's just me?Burlap is coarser than canvas, which is coarser than linen, and you can certainly see this difference in the scales.
Can't speak to the grippiness, as I don't have any burlap (yet), but was only referring to the visual difference.I feel like my polished burlap scales aren't as grippy as my polished linen micarta. Maybe it's just me?
what did you chooseHmmmmm
