They're electric brakes and the truck has a brake controller

I had a tire that I was a little bit worried about that's not doing so great so we're pulled over and getting a new tire. This one isn't holding air real good.

I am so sorry.
I’m at least partially to blame here.
I worked late yesterday and wasn’t able to pick up the goat I planned on sacrificing to ensure the rest of your journey was uneventful.
Wife wouldn’t let me use one of our chickens, so I just sat in the middle of a room surrounded by candles, chanting and I broke an egg as the sacrifice.
I half-assed it and I apologize.
I’ll do better next time.

One year after a lovely family trip to upper peninsula Michigan we broke down on the way home. After weighing our options to get the vehicle and all four of us home without breaking the bank, we decided renting a Uhaul truck with a vehicle trailer was the cheapest and most expedient option. The smallest truck they had that had a hitch was a 24’ beast. We couldn’t see our vehicle on the trailer back there so I’m not sure exactly when it happened - but the same thing happened to us.

The week after me and the missus got hitched, I transferred down to Miami. On the drive down, my Mazda GLC had a couple of tires self destruct. Fortunately, getting replacements wasn't a huge issue and thankfully it didn't cause a mishap.

To quote Doc Holliday...I guess the strain was more than they could bear.

When I saw Nathan's post earlier on about the load weighing ~ 13K lb. I got thinking and wondering what kind of tires (load rating) the trailer was running on with but did say anything in case I jinx it, but I ought to own up and take the blame because I thought it!

In fact, recently bought an older Tahoe by Thor toy hauler for my cabin but after carefully assessing it (after the facts) decided that it wasn't worth it to take it 900 miles up the Northern CA coast to my cabin as a side camper-whatever. I've been through enough of similar kinda cr*p way too many times in my younger days to care to do the road warrior thing again at 60! Now, if I only could afford a brand new $160K Sprinter Revel or sumptin, that'd be a totally different story.

Glad that Nathan and Jo seem to be fine and that Jo is riding shotgun because if she wasn't with him, she'd be worried sick about him. Grateful for you guys securing yet another machine because at the end of the day, one day - some day, that darn CPK-Folder has got to make its way up the leaders board! What can I say, I'm totally selfless :p

Nathan's not a genius for nothing. He'd have given thought to the tires and their condition way before any of us numbskulls felt inclined to opine on the topic.

I'd bet on it.

All of this talk about blown tires.... Nathan have you ever considered reaching out to US tire manufacturers and seeing if they would be willing to implement D3V into the steel belts on their tires??

Would this make the tires literally bulletproof?
Would the tires then be able to run 200,000 miles?
Would they even need air anymore??
Would tires only be sold on Friday's and sold out in milliseconds?

Jokes aside, glad nothing worse happened and you and Jo are safe! Congrats on the camper!
