Random Thought Thread

Still driving. He doesn't even care if I'm hangry. 🤣
I mean, if I’m the guy driving on this venture the only thing I’m thinking at this point is, “Effing alternator! Effing tire! What else could possibly go wrong!” “Come on, (Insert name Nathan calls his truck here).” “We’re within striking distance.”
“Come on.” <<< something to this effect is on repeat in his head.
To some degree his will alone is keeping that truck together and running. <<< this is how men think in impossible to control situations. It’s that or just give up and walk.
You might be talking to him and there may even be a small part of his brain he has left operational to interact with you and give what appear to be normal coherent answers.
But he’s not there anymore. He’s holding that sweet ride together.
He will deal with your hunger, anger and the real world when he gets back.

Sometime between pulling off the interstate and getting home the last tire let go. We were going pretty slow I didn't even notice it.

The tires were rated for the weight on them and were not that old. They were properly inflated. But I had a bad feeling about them. I had some replacement tires (and a spare) on order but they did not get here in time for the trip.

They're here now.

Anyway we're home and no major mishaps. Just a bad alternator and a couple flat tires. And Jo is hungry and angry.

And adorable and a good sport. You missed those two. 😘
