Shiv thread turns 11 months old today. You know what that means![]()
My random thought for the day...
I'm not paying 1000 bucks for an axe.
Would you pay $1000 for a knife?![]()

If someone does, I am willing to jump in lineI guess I should start making those huh?
(If anybody wants a refund on their deposit, just let me know)
What kind of axe are ya looking for?
Pàdruig lol yeah those damn LH axe flippers, I do wonder what those wood bullets sold for originally though. I bet it swings real nice, the head and handle really look great together.
I don’t know, man. Have you ever checked out the BladeForums “Best Bowie of” threads.Much as I like knives, I wouldn’t give a grand for ANY knife unless I was very certain that I could make a bundle by flipping it. No knife is worth that “to me”. I think of myself as a user and I can always find a high quality alternative for less than that. I will say that in all my years of owning, carrying and using blades that I have never used a well built hard use knife anywhere near its peak potential or failure point and figure that most people don’t so paying for performance that I’ll never come close to makes no sense. Picture taking aside.
On the other end of that, Jewlery knives appeal to my eyes but not to my common sense as much. I currently only have one safe queen and that’s because I have yet to decided if I will keep it or not and don’t want to take a loss should I use it.
Everyone has to have a limit. It just differs person to person.Lots of beautiful knives out there that I personally have no use for but others might. That includes $1500 HDFK’s
I have a <$500 alternative that will do everything I can throw at it. Perfect example
