Random Thought Thread

Drooled over the Tuatahi website before, but I don't do anything that even remotely justifies a $6xx - $7xx axe.
They're in NZ dollars so not quite as much $$. Recently rehandled one of their camp axe onto their long handle... which is an option now for that axe. Much better. The short handle was way too short for a 3# head

Pàdruig Pàdruig I thought you were referring to lamaca axes earlier.

To spend a few hours with one of those race axes and one of the phenomenal lumberjacks to give instruction while chopping some of that pristine lumber would be fun. Similar to running a Bladesport course with the CPK crew providing the chopper and instruction…
Would be a blast.

Some of those racing axes are incredible. I was talking to a old timer one year here at the logging show, he was almost 80 and still doing spring board. His racing axe was like a damn razor blade. I’d love to have one.

That is awesome! I love watching those competitions and can’t imagine ever being that good at any of the events. So fun to watch!
Those race chainsaws are nuts too! A sharp chain on my Stihl 660 seems like a whole lot of saw- lol.

Lots of trees on my 240 acres and I use an axe occasionally when it is going to be a dirty cut.

Lumberjacks are a truly different breed of people. I hold them in very high regard.

That’s why I always search it as “Carothers Performance Knives”.
I’ve got enough cabbage patch kids.
When I was in 2nd grade a bunch of girls brought in their CPKs and had their school picture taken with them. There was also 1 guy that jumped on the trend who eventually became a good friend. I like to make sure that he remembers it

I’m thinking I was in about 5th grade the year they were the fad and you couldn’t find them anywhere. So, me being me, when my parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas that year I told them a cabbage patch kid. They were only able to obtain one, which they gave to my little sister.
The next year, or maybe it was two, they got me a cabbage patch kid “preemie” for Christmas.
I still have him in his original (although damaged) packaging.

are those the cards where the toy children are dedicating and vomiting all over everything and each other?
You mean GPK...Garbage Pail Kids...if you type in and misspell CPK then you might get those, they're pretty gross and awesome.

Is this the next design you're going for in D3V, MC, or old school D1V...the GuilloTINA 🤣🤣Screenshot_20230908_122348_Chrome.jpg

I had to look it up... So your "CPK Preemie" looks something like this in it's original packaging?
