Thanks, John. To my knowledge, everyone is safe. It occurred 30 miles away in either direction from where family resides so it definitely was a little close for comfort.

I need a bang head emoji for the facility I take care of. Had an emergency so I had to rob parts from Paul to pay Peter. Well now not even two hours after I was told to do it, because this habitat had no animals in it and hasn’t had animals in it all year long, it has to be back up and running NOW.

Well, sorry, I just ordered spare parts after I robbed them out of that unit, so you’re gonna have to wait a week. Or I can shut down the room with all the monkeys to fix the empty room. You decide.

Here's a story.

About six months ago. I do a search for sex offenders in the neighborhood. The results showed a person 4 houses down from me. Exposed himself to a 12yo child.

Fast forward a few months and he moves. No idea where to. Don't care. We've never met each other face to face.

Then the other day. I do my rotational trip to the neighborhood 7/11. There's a guy that's been working the counter for a couple months. Swearing I've seen the guy before. I chalk it up to a bad memory.

Then I notice his car. His fat girlfriend.

Well I'll be. 7/11 hired the guy.


So today I asked the manager if they did background checks. She admits No. I then ask her if she knows the history of the person in question. Same answer, No. I tell her to get on the Texas government website for sex offenders and to read up.

The kicker. This 7/11 is in the same building complex as a daycare. The manager is the daughter of the owner.

Neither one had a clue to whom they had behind the counter. Having direct contact with children.
