The word is out...

I have only a few pics of my dad when he was young, and this one is at Nathans. No idea who the kid is pointing at the camera...

Some of my fondest memories as a young kid were with my father's two younger brothers, (twins), who would take me to Nathan's when they were home on leave from the army. They were my idols.

My grandmother lived a few blocks away on Brighton Beach Blvd. Used to love wandering around Coney Island and Steeplechase Park for hours on end.

Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist , I’m looking at my Breaching Tool and I’m curious why the bevels were ground on ā€œbacksideā€ (for right handed people). I haven’t had a chance to use it yet and I’m sure it probably wouldn’t make much difference in use what side they were ground into, just wondering about the design!

I wanted to take a "stab" at this but dared not answer it in the ANAQ although I am the self professed #stillnotnathan:

The PryBar essentially is a chisel grind tool (let's have Nathan to get into the physics and the merits of this type of grind when it comes to the purposes for which this tool is actually intended for) and as such this type of tool like many more are primarily designed for right handed people because it makes it easier for a right handed person to sharpen the edge which as you put it, is on the backside: the PryBar in the left hand and the honing stone (or whatever) in your right hand.

Changing in and out of daylight savings time sucks. Just a thought.
Been saying for ages; I don't care which, just pick one and be done with it.

Senate voted to stay on DST year round last year. Would've begun this year. Never went to the House 🤬

Considering that the origin of DST was based on outmoded crap, due to an observation written as satire by Ben Franklin; It makes the practice even more annoying (as the link states, Ben Franklin didn't exactly invent DST. But the satire was the inspiration).
