Random Thought Thread

Six months sober. Often feel more foggy then when I drank. Sleep better which is strange to me. Insides/lower gut feels way better for lack of better explanation. Possibly not inflamed? Slightly less of an Ahole to the ones I love most. Overall I really want a fucking beer. Not looking for attaboys just sharing my experience. Have a good day.

Attaboy! It's been something like 6 years for me, something I never thought I could do up til going cold turkey. Me and the fam are definitely better off for it. 💪

Yesterday was 3 months for me. It’s, um, interesting way to live life. I too am way less of an asshole.
 
I have eaten lots of weird things (including manatee) in Latin America (most tasted good), but never monkey. I did see a monkey shot with a curare tipped dart from a blowgun in a jungle in Venezuela though. The monkey screamed and then scampered higher, then looked like slow motion as the poison set in. The indigenous guy who shot it clubbed it quickly when it fell out of the tree and carried it away. Those people would appear and disappear in the blink of an eye!

The weirdest things I've eaten are 1) Minke whale jerky from Norway, which was so salty that it was barely edible. And 2) a whole lot of sea urchin gonads over the course of several days, having run out of food on a beach in Tierra del Fuego. But that's a story for another day. :cool:

It's been 18 years for me and I've never looked back. It gets easier the longer you go; at least that's been my experience.
