Right now thinking about ordering steel for:
K20, 300
SDFK, 800
Comp chopper, 200
Lorien Brush Cutlass, 500
Updated D2 skinner, 800
Lorien Kukri, 200
I would highly suggest more steel for a kukri preorder.

I’ve seen CPK being recommended more frequently on other forums I’m on (I can’t seem to help myself posting videos of your D3V tests of your choppers and the K18 video, whenever I get the chance over the past few years, despite knowing that it’s making it harder to place during sales 😅).

Just like katana and katana variants; there are a LOT of people out there who are kukri fans, and I mean A LOT. I’m 100% certain we’ll see quite a number of usernames we’ve never seen before, on the kukri preorder.

The problem with the kukri is the bevels and fuller geometry cannot be directly milled, because they are all wonky shaped. They're going to have to be surface milled which is very time-consuming. And it is a thick piece with low sheet yields. They are going to be very expensive. I doubt there's going to be a big market for $1,000 Kukris

Just out of curiosity how long does it take to get the Steel once you order it?

I get my 3V a little bit different than standard so I buy full ingots. The lead time can vary quite a bit depending on what else is in their queue. I don't know what the lead time will be on this batch, I haven't asked yet, but it's usually a few months.

You’ve been gaining a name for “The Ultimate ####”. If I were you, I wouldn’t bet anything more than a single beer, on how fast 200 CPK kukris will be snapped up at that price (and consequently, how much wailing and teeth gnashing will result from the folks who missed out).

dude thought a sword preorder would last a week or 2.

he may need my hat more than I do
Yup.

And unlike swords, which for 99.9999999% of buyers, are only ever collected and/or displayed, LOTS of folks have come to appreciate kukris for use where a chopper is an option (i.e. easier for even more folks to justify the purchase).

This. It's the only knife on the list that pulls me hard (of course I love the SDFK too, but already have two).
