Random Thought Thread

My random thought from today: If you're looking at a machine waiting for it to return to home position so you can go check the part, but you never programed a return, you might be waiting a while...
 
Of course Nathan guessed correctly but after I devised the game, I knew there was an easier way to cheat (not insinuating that Nathan did) but all that some of you had to do was to find posters from today whose accounts were established prior to 2008. Not many current posters would have passed that filter ;)

I just started to post that Uffda has been around awhile too. I had a chance to buy his A2 FK way back when and passed. I was such a maroon! I did lock down a 3V from him one time, though.

Yup, I kept seeing his name getting scrappy in the mix from back when. The funniest thing is this threads which an item would last for a day and Nathan would have commented, "I can't believe this one is still here!". That won't happen anytime soon, unless he changes his name to something else! Carlos Danger has already been taken, right? :D

Roland Procter got banned. That was a real shame, he was a great guy. He rubbed someone wrong in the antique knife forum, if I recall. Big misunderstanding and a real shame. He came back as Kootenai Joe but was recognized. He was a retired medical doctor and I suppose was accustomed to being treated a certain way, and thrown in with "general population" didn't fit in well with some folks and got shanked. Personally, I really enjoyed him.
 
O yeah that Procter guy. He was one of those who was buying regularly from you. An avant garde per se...

Not just that, he was friend who gave valuable insight to a young man from the point of view of an older man at a time when I needed it. Really a kind person.
 
that's not the guy I banned, I hope. Not that, as a mod, you really have a choice sometimes. It's a shitty thing to have to do, at times. Other times, not so much

I don't think that you were a Mod back then? But perhaps you've been a Mod on and off? Sometimes if one wants the Mod job of any forums, one has to take actions according to the site owner's directives and the constitution of the Site. Certainly not an easy feat at times.

I have been on many forums as my interests, hobbies, fandoms, etc evolved, revolved or just got abandoned. I am proud to say that all these years I have only been banned from one forum and since they are now gone like cancer that was on this City, I can divulge that they were the disgraceful San Diego Chargers. I'm proud to have caused my banishment, good riddance and I hope that they go 0-16 from here on out. Actually, they will not be far off that mark :D

No, this was years ago.
 
I remember Proctor. He was the only guy I ever had a transaction with who yelled, moaned and groaned about something that was so minor, I can't remember what it was. I seem to recall, funny enough, that Lorien (though could have been Coop) brought the whine to my attention and, though not a mod (this was years ago, lol), ended up being a calming influence between the two of us.

That was years ago, probably sometime after my screenname changed to betzner from whatever it was before. I think my orig date was sometime in 2003..
