I'm taking a bunch of stuff to Goodwill now as I finally decided to declutter this darn place! My 4th trip there in the last month. No worries for the faint of heart though as I'm not planning on giving away any CPKs, whether figuratively speaking or literally :D

Ha! The last set we had in here we plasma cut a new edge and then ground back past the heat line. Worked pretty slick.
Thats awesome. I will remember that. I don't have a cutter, but my friend does at his shop. Why not leave the heat affected zone on it? it would hold the edge awhile wouldn't it? Or does it actually soften it?

Pretty sure plasma cutting HAZ will get brittle (or the HT is wrecked) on something like that. I may be totally wrong as I'm a welder, not a scientist.

Hmmmm. That is probably true. But it wears off from all the abuse, and I was just thinking, why grind it again. Let it wear on its own. but I also do not understand all those things.

I haven't tried doing it without grinding back aways. That steel is actually really soft and I bet it would be fine in that application. My first instinct was to get past the HAZ, BF must be wearing off on me :D

This is going to suck for awhile, but you're going to be planning and plotting the whole time off I'm sure :D :D

Yea spending money I shouldn't because I'm bored. Thank God that my pair of NASK's is paid for. Now I need a sheath for my BC though

I may end up with a quad by the time I go back to work since riding the Supermoto is a no-go for a while.

Sounds like a good excuse to take up sheathmaking.

Man, I've got too many thousands of dollars worth of tools as it is. My wife will kill me if I take up another trade/hobby before I buy her a house. We're both so tired of renting it's not even funny.

Buy as soon as you can. MTM and I were like that in the beginning, renting. It sucks! Pony up and save some pennies and go make a down payment on a house!

I second this - we rented for years, and I now regret every penny I spent renting. What we were paying in rent and putting aside for a for a down payment is more than our current mortgage/insurance is. We could've bought a house years ago and had a good chunk paid off already! :(

Wife and I only rented for 9 months when we were getting started. Ended our lease early when our apartment, which was pet friendly, told her she had to get rid of her snake because it made one of our neighbors uncomfortable. Said neighbor only found out we had that snake when he was nosily looking into our patio door as he climbed up to their patio above because his wife/girlfriend had locked him out.

It was a craphole. Over the next couple of years, two of the buildings in the complex burned to the ground due to exploded meth labs. But we were living on our own and not asking our families for money, and that was important to us.

I spent some time with family in the west central part of the state this weekend, a little town named Whitebird. It was the site of the first battle of the Nez Perce war with the United States, a fight the natives won without loss that day. There is somewhat of a Park there and some reminders of the battle.

I keep my head down for a day or two and people start breaking themselves...
Heal up quickly ManOfSteel89 ManOfSteel89 .

If your BC is getting antsy, I will take her out. I will be back on my feet shortly.
