Whore you gonna call Ghostbusters?Who you calling whore?
Limp mode?Speaking of car issues, my truck had a traction control light come on last time I was in it. Then it put up a message saying “limiting engine power”, and it would only let me drive 5-10 mph. Then I pulled over and turned off the traction control and restarted it. And it allowed me to drive at a normal speed again. But now the check engine light is on. So, I guess I’ll have to take it to the dealer to get that worked out. 2018 Chevy 2500
Yoko, curious, what year/model/paint code? My Sequoia is a 2015 in Blizzard White Pearl…Sorry I don't know much about the drive train , but pervious explorers had a corrosion problems with the aluminum hoods
I have not seen this problem yet on the newer model explorer (not saying it will not happen)
AndSpyderPhreak I just painted 2 fenders and blended the doors on a new pearl white Toyota SUV , reason is the paint peeled off all the way down to the sealer.... don't know if this is an isolated problem or an upcoming big issue
Possible that it’s galvanic corrosion. There are ways to mitigate it in the design. They may not have taken those steps.
I should use a magnet to see if the inner structure is steel
That would explain it
Actually, salt is a factor for galvanic corrosion.Salt isn't the factor in the aluminum corrosion
But climate could be. I'm very close to Detroit and we can get very cold and hot
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you (for warranty does cover the hood corrosion with a replacement up to a certain amount of years though)
And do not let them low ball you too bad on your trade in , if you have one
@Casinostocks might be able to help a lot more than me!
