they did that for me last septrmber. had to grind off the dead chipped off portion of my molar and luckily I didnt need the dowel or titanium. they just took an impression of the stump that was still good and made a crown for it.Interesting how technology has changed.
Got a crown this afternoon. The process started last November, when they put a titanium dowel in my jawbone:

The screw hole in the dowel was filled temporarily with a titanium screw, until the bone was healed.
6 months later, the filler screw is removed, put in a dowel, and scanned my teeth with a laser to build a CAD model:

Using that model, they 3D print a crown. Then, in the lab and using the 3D print, they make the final crown that will be screwed into the dowel - with a small torque wrench

Remember that pink rubbery stuff that was used to make impressions of your teeth ? Not anymore. Fascinating.
no you.3 grand
Make it make sense
at least 3 lives. plus that poor pig.If only Teasle let Rambo get something to eat...how many hundreds of lives would have been spared?
Don't forget the sequels...at least 3 lives. plus that poor pig.
and police dog.
I always thought Titanium was pretty cool stuff, more so now that I’m partially made of it.Interesting how technology has changed.

6 months later, the filler screw is removed, replaced by a small plastic tube (to get the crown orientation right), and then my teeth were scanned with a laser device to build a CAD model
