None of you guys seem to have taken any advance mathematics so please allow me to enlighten you and solve this equation in 2 ways:
50 x $1.50 = $75 - $12 (discount) = $63 with the free ride of $1.50, the net is $61.50 rounded UP to $62. All making perfect sense.
Now as to 20 x $1.50 = $30 vs $32, do you really wish to go to the booth 20 times? Not bothering with that is worth the $2 extra onto itself. This part is not math, it is just common sense!
