To look at the listings (as opposed to actual sales data) on EB & ACK, the value of my knife collection is astronomical &, to look at the listings on The Exchange, where you can seldom see what a knife actually sold for, the value of my collection is virtually nil.

I assume the value of my collection is somewhere in the middle. LOL! ;)

Here is what I can tell you after having gone through many, many knives in the past 10 months or so on the big auction site:

Despite the fact that I resent paying them their # of flesh, the quantity and the pace that they sell/sold would absolutely not merit for me to use the Exchange in here on a regular basis. If & when I sell a knife on here (have not attempted since the recent migration and the feedback issues) it will be either in the CPK sub (I rarely sell CPKs) or a knife which I know I will be selling for far le$$ than originally expected so I might as well be a good BF citizen and offer it to one of the Exchange denizens for a slightly better price. If the Qty become so large in here that would require a dealer membership albeit for a private collection, I do not mind the price of the appropriate membership but I will eschew that situation because I deem the dealer section of the Exchange to be one of the slowest sections!

I can cite about a handful of occasions when I used AZCK as my main reference and I truly fudged up by underpricing / underselling the said knives well below what the next guy would have paid because the market on rarer knives has truly appreciated and the economy is not in the dumpster if you have the correct / desirable merch! If you should decide to try your luck elsewhere, I strongly suggest that you start off higher and look at the offers and if after a while you get no interest, just adjust your prices incrementally downwards. GLWS.

ETA: I have seem some of your posts and I know that the lion share of your collection is in Spydercos which is a WINNER. CRK = WINNER... SHF and some others: meh!
