Random Thought Thread

You've got a beautiful view there Tom. Here's a shot from out back of our place with the sun going down over the wheat this summer.

Like yours too, gonna swing through TN and pick up TommyGun56 TommyGun56 and we are gonna come run a bear or lion with you one day.

Bob, on the other hand, told me to keep me and my sticky fingers the hell outta' Morro Bay!;)

here's a random thought. Jo and I went to a local block party sort of thing for Halloween last night. I noticed that I really don't do well socializing any more. Not that I ever did, but goddamn I find it difficult to take much interest in random people's jobs, kids, sports interests etc in a random introduction kind of conversation. The old attention span isn't holding up well. I work from my own shop. My "interactions" are with a captive audience. I think I'm devolving into a potato.

Jo went dressed as "Big Chris". It was hysterical, though I'm the only person who "got it"

I went dressed as a psychopath. We look just like anybody else.

I have the same disorder, Nathan. The wife and friends tell me the clinical term is called being an a-hole. If you do a little research, you will probably come up with the same diagnosis. I am living with it and am not gonna seek treatment.

For me, I've labeled it as being comfortable with my solitude. I usually prefer my own company to that of others. I get bored easily - with others, that is.

Just wait until you are my age. 3/4 deaf* and I make Grumpy look cheerful.

*That doesn't bother me. I have heard enough.

View attachment 1013610 not the Pacific Ocean, but one of the more breathtaking sunsets I've seen in my 43 years...

For me, the ocean is just an added extra. What makes the beauty of the image in Tom's, yours and my image is that magnificent color palette. The trees and the ocean are the equal of each other to Mother Nature. I just can't get enough of such sunsets, no matter where they are encountered.

Be respectful and in awe of all those light photons which escape the Sun's surface and the ones which hit this tiny little wondrous planet which we live on, bring life to Mother Nature with all its glorious images and colors. Why respect those tiny minuscule photons? Because it is not juts the 8 minutes or so which it takes them to escape Sun's surface before they hit Earth, but the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years when they play bumper cars with each other while trying to escape Sun's enormous gravity and its massive depth of its plasma field.

Too much? Just have a beer and enjoy the scenery ;)

Nathan, I'm more than willing to PP you $350 right now, if you absolutely refrain from ever using that Harvard business school MBA diploma of yours (inspired response by post # 4 in the thread):

Mr. Nathan does sales!!!

I don't want this hideous contraption so if you like, you can just blow the darn thing up! Haha!

P.S. Bob's post above is spot on ;)
