A well-deserved honor, Nathan. I was clued into this article appearing in Blade by an anonymous source and had just been waiting for my copy to arrive. Really serves as a nice tribute to an evil genius!

I made this batch in D3V and AEBL but I did throw in one in S30V for you. Either that or it was 1018. Some kind of shit, I forget....

The ovens are down again and a batch of 89 HDFK and 23 BC have been parked there since September 10th. This will prevent us completing the HDFK preorder this week but the repair will be finished in another week and these knives are first in line. I went ahead and sent 66 UF today to squeeze into that batch so it looks like late November is going to be busy around here. Sent an unhardened knife to the sheath maker today too.

We can get that metallurgist guy on the general discussion to write a dissertation about it and then the gaggle to attack it. Imagine what fun we could have with mine (the LE model) made from some special sauce :D
 
BTW Nathan, did you happen to catch last night's episode of FiF? The modern metal material (steel?) guy beat out the armorer in the finale and then the blacksmith and the hoofer in the process, basically beating the winner of each discipline from their own groups. Isn't modern material the category where you ought to kinda fall into?
