I just opened this really GREAT bottle of 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy today. It's 5 o'clock somewhere. LOL! ;)

I've been collecting this line of wine since 2010 (when this bottle was 1st released) & I'm picking up 2 bottles of the 2021 release at the winery today.

Estimated value of this bottle is now around $400.

Yum!!! ☺️

Congratulations on enjoying a fine bottle of wine (on your birthday)! 😁

Well said.

I got in trouble with an old girlfriend, who was a vegetarian, when I told her that the only difference between animals and vegetables was that animals had eyes so they wouldn't bump into trees.

She was not amused.

Casual observation...

...vegetarians are not easily amused...

They do fart though! And farts are funny!

Are fruits and veggies sentient?
Evidently plants actively communicate and exhibit signs of intelligence, and I think that is largely facilitated by mycelium.

I think the difference between plants and animals is that the plants don't usually squeal when you eat them fresh off the vine.

Why would Greta Thunberg ever get her hands on Nate? Is she against knives and all they represent, too?? 😆

Me personally, I don't know. But I know my company pollutes. Particularly Ben. He emits a lot of methane, which is a powerful potent greenhouse gas.

Emphasis on powerful and potent.

#MyPhilosophyOfLife

Today is my 74th birthday. No "congratulations," please.
🚫

It's no great accomplishment.

I no longer "celebrate" my birthdays because it is only a reminder to me of how old I am and how much closer I am to death, which are things that I do not care to think about.

Instead, I choose to "celebrate" every day of LIFE & I don't bother worrying about the rest.

Today is just one of those days.
🥳

I’m 33 so I’ve got a fair way to go but with respect, I’ll give you a different perspective.

I’ve already known far too many people that will never have a privilege of growing old - a couple of them my friends.
What’s worse, our middle boy had some ongoing issues so we had to do a few visits to the Royal children’s hospital in Melbourne. I wouldn’t call myself much of a crier but seeing what some children are going through brought tears to my eye and made me sick to my stomach.

My younger sister had to cancel her wedding last year because she was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully she got through it and this year tied the knot with her husband, she’s even now expecting her first child next year.

We don’t think about it but staying alive takes some smarts and no small amount of luck, what’s not to congratulate after making it another lap around the sun?

As per your wishes I won’t wish you a happy birthday but I will say good job and keep up the work for many more years to come 👍🏼
