This is also true. Occasionally, the survivors will drag away the less fortunate before first responders arrive. Sad, but true.

While the war on drugs appears to be unwinnable, and I spent a lot of time in its trenches...it saddens me deeply to see so many folks who are in the throes of a hell they've created for themselves via the overuse of so many drugs.

I can understand their allure...I grew up in NYC during the 60's and 70's after all...but the amounts and numbers are simply staggering...with no end in sight.

There's entire generations in the situation...(in the same families)...

...but yeah.

I'd like to think that the people using the prescription amphetamines are doing so responsibly and not recreationally, but I'm not quite so naive anymore. That said, the homebrewed stuff is what really worries me.
