He always doesElliott made one hell of an entrance.
Same. This thing took a lot of abuse and opened a lot of bottles and didn’t really show much wear from it. Eventually I broke the blade and sent it to Benchmade for a reblade. They didn’t have a blade for it anymore so they did a regrind. Then I retired it and discovered BladeForums.A very old friend (circa '95/'96), with.... more than a few.... bottle caps popped in its time. Taken with me everywhere as a ski patroller and mountain guide, then paramedic, back in the (my) day. First EDC, decades before I knew what that meant.
Memories.

"the Carothers Party Koreans"
^ can confirm
Actually, now that I think about, those two really do outpace any other CoCks that I can think of.
Do we have any 100% Korean here? I have questions...
New puppy night
Good lord man, I'm really tired.
I could do a video call with you and show you how I use my wedding ring to open a beer bottle...Well I’m pissed. Just had to walk 50 yards to the house from the fire pit. Forgot my knife and couldn’t open my adult beverage.
Man, if only I had an original FK with the built in bottle opener. (I am serious) Life would be good
Can’t believe I took a hiatus from BF in 2014 and didn’t return until end of 2022. Missed so many of the OG knives.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Nice 62 degrees here sitting around the fire pit.
Hell yes! My first manly knife was the ATS55 rescue that came out after your molded clip version. Appears Spyderco (or someone crafty) added a traditional clip once the molded one broke, sweet.A very old friend (circa '95/'96), with.... more than a few.... bottle caps popped in its time. That’s exactly how Spyderco themselves fixed the broken molded clips back in the day. Looking at his, I’d be willing to bet this was a factory repair.Hell yes! I can do that too! However, I don’t try with my gold or carbon fiber ring, the bottle caps can damage the softer material, but the Titanium ring works great!I could do a video call with you and show you how I use my wedding ring to open a beer bottle...
Those two have Korean moms with their dads being American. So aren't they the same polarity? Now if we could only find one with at least a Korean dad, or both parents being Koreans, now that one would be some very interesting wild species![]()
