Pretty close, it's a huge pot with 6.5lb of beef, and my son will only eat one serving. I'll likely shit myself by Friday.

All I had to do was get sick, have multiple hospital stays for pulmonary hemorrhage, get bronchoscopy a few times, get intubated on a ventilator a few times, catch MRSA in the ICU and become 80% disabled to quit being a full-time doctor with night shifts. Then 5 more years part-time.25 years in the ER. I'm working Christmas Eve (day) and Christmas (day). Other than that I have no commitments along those lines, and I'm disinclined to make any. Tried to retire once, didn't take. Maybe this time.

Next time I'm in the springs I'll buy you a beer and we can swap tales to make the wait staff cringe. Maybe two beers. I found it easier to trade knowing I was going to stay up all night for turning my phone off during the day. 29 years of school blurred into 25+ years of quasi productive employment, retiring just before 60.Congrats. Working various shifts, and being subjected to call-outs 24/7/365 is hard on a body. Just the stress of waiting for the pager or phone to go off while trying to enjoy a day off or day out...was tiring...let alone trying to get a full night's sleep.
On the whole, I'm glad I pulled the plug at an early age.
Dude much more simple words... had to Google varietal hahahahaNext time I'm in the springs I'll buy you a beer and we can swap tales to make the wait staff cringe. Maybe two beers. We can retainyoko for varietal recommendations...

Sorry. English* degree and geography of wine as an undergrad. Plus probably some DSM- IV/V diagnoses that I'm not considered qualified to make.“Kinds”
I was perfectly fine with it haha. “Rocket scientist”, plus I’m deep in the weeds of the coffee world (home roaster for over 20 years), so that word is nearly an everyday one for me. Yoko wanted simple, I delivered.Sorry. English* degree and geography of wine as an undergrad. Plus probably some DSM- IV/V diagnoses that I'm not considered qualified to make.

Ceiling tiles???? Damn. That visual is aggressive!!There is a particular pager ring that was in common use in about 1999/2000 that to this day will cause me to wake up with most of my finger- and toe-nails embedded in the ceiling tiles.
Congratulations to you sir. Enjoy your time off. It sounds like you have earned it.25 years in the ER. I'm working Christmas Eve (day) and Christmas (day). Other than that I have no commitments along those lines, and I'm disinclined to make any. Tried to retire once, didn't take. Maybe this time.
Thanks for your service and I hope it works out how you want it to. It's not the same, but I recently stepped away from the Volunteer Fire Dept. after over 35 years of waking up to tones. And yeah some just had something that goes right through you. There is a particular pager ring that was in common use in about 1999/2000 that to this day will cause me to wake up with most of my finger- and toe-nails embedded in the ceiling tiles.
