Same. I prefer it...but I'm a minimalist.
I like turkey but it’s not that popular in this part of the world. Just looked it up, a pair (?) of breasts is about $30, that’s plenty enough turkey for me.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

Ha yes! Very bad, youtube worthy things!!!Our turkeys have been in the refrigerator since last Thursday. I don’t like to throw frozen birds in the fryer, bad things happen![]()
A perfect chore for a K18Yup. Particularly fun to get the neck and innards out.
We‘ll only have a turkey breast this year so I don’t end up eating turkey all week,
Be sure to use the "spine" side of the blade.A perfect chore for a K18![]()
That thing would get swung at everything if I had one. What a designBe sure to use the "spine" side of the blade.
I'm doing turkey and duck this year. I wanted to do just duck, but the traditionalists objected![]()
Agreed such and awesome design!!!That thing would get swung at everything if I had one. What a design![]()
Probably clams, venison, squash, and peas if we're getting real specific. Turkey is overrated unless it's fried or smoked properly. Even then...Wouldn’t traditionalists be all for seafood? Stick it to em!
Agreed - they make great YT videos.Ha yes! Very bad, youtube worthy things!!!
I have an electric fryer that we use sometimes. Works pretty good.
Not this year, though.

I'm teaming up with you now!!!Thanksgiving is all about the side dishes. End of story. The only thing that makes turkey good is the smothering of homemade gravy.
Agreed ... you can't carve a turkey with a neck knife anyway.Thanksgiving is all about the side dishes. End of story. The only thing that makes turkey good is the smothering of homemade gravy.
