So. Apparently 80 proof whiskey will freeze at -17°F. It got down to -19° last night. I guess I'm lucky this juice is 90 proof? It didn't freeze but I think I may have inadvertently made a whiskey slush.

Damn, an Eagle Rare too! You can send it to me for proper disposal, as I’m sure it’s ruined now. I’ll go PM my address now.

HVAC question for those of you with Dual Fuel systems. (Ours is Heat Pump and LP Furnace)

At what point do you find that you switch to the furnace from the heat pump? I know it will kick on the furnace if it struggles and drops about 3 degrees below the set temperature, but today at 15 degrees the heat pump was staying about 2 degrees below the setting, so the furnace wasn't coming on, but it just kept running which is getting annoying. Electric has gone up a lot in the last couple of years, and propane ain't cheap anymore either.

Anyway, I just manually set to the furnace and will switch back later until bedtime...but wondered what your experiences have indicated. (I know the install tech set the crossover way low...thinking that the heat pump would be much more efficient most of the time.)
